Sonia Knowles

2020 Stream of Consciousness Teacher Training Graduate:
Sonia Knowles, a long-time fitness enthusiast, has been a group instructor since 2019 and received her RYT-200 certification in 2020.  A life long resident of North Carolina, she spent much of her life as a devoted wife and mother, and working in the apparel industry full time, before deciding to pursue her long pondered dream of becoming a fitness instructor.

“I went through several life-changing experiences in a very short window of time and found myself in a place where I recognized that I hadn’t really been pursuing my purpose.  I deeply wanted to honor my talents and knowledge, as well as help people, find their inner strength.  Helping people on their health journey is the greatest honor of my life.  It would, and still, breaks my heart to know when people develop illnesses, feeling that they have no power over their health.  My hope is to inspire and assist people to become empowered over their health.”

Sonia is currently developing a website for her Health Focus Studio.  Until then, she is offering free Zoom classes Tuesdays at 6 pm and Thursdays at 8 am.  To reach out to Sonia, please email soniaknowles@rocketmail.com

Talia Blackburn Falcon

When I initially found yoga, it felt like coming home. Coming home to my body - in all its forms, the parts I don’t necessarily like & the parts that I do. Coming home to my time and space - taking an hour a week, a day, to be with myself and really notice. Coming home to each emotion - noticing & riding the waves of the human experience.

I invite you to join me this year as we explore the essence of coming home.
